Foster Homes Needed
Dear Animal Lovers,
Jerry Wheeler, Summers County dogwarden, has a male German Shepard who needs a foster home. German Shepards usually go fairly quickly so it is unlikely that he would have to be in our care for more than a month or two. As always, ACWP will cover all medical expenses, including vaccinations and alterations, and food. This dog will be euthanized if we can't get it into a home.
We also have a female black lab and her 6 puppies who are only about 3 weeks old. They are owner turn-ins and they are NOT in a good situation. Apparently, the wife left and the husband indicated that if we don't take the dogs by the end of the week, he would "take care of them." Puppies are usually placed quickly, as are labs. Again, ACWP will cover all medical expenses and food.
There are always several other critters in need of foster care but these mentioned are critical, as in life-threatening. Please consider fostering either the GS or the lab mama and pups, it will save a life. If you are not able to foster but would like to contribute in other ways, please let us know. Also, please forward this email to others who might be able to foster.
