Foster Homes

Dear Summers County Humane Society members and friends,

As you know, we continue to struggle to find temporary placement or foster homes for the animals in our program.
At this time we critically need at least 15 new foster homes. Because of this, many otherwise great animals must be euthanized.

Please consider opening your home to foster an otherwise unwanted animal.  If you have never fostered before, it can be an extremely rewarding experience.  If you have a pet or have ever had a pet which you got from a pound, shelter, or rescue, please try to imagine your life without your pet and then think of all the people who made it possible for you and your pet to meet - such as the folks who fostered it or pulled it from the euthanization list.

If you or someone you know is interested in participating in this critically needed  program, please call me at 304-660-6144. You may also contact me by e-mail at annaziegler@gmail.com.

ACWP, Inc. provides veterinary care, food, kennels, crates, and doghouses for our foster animals.

If you are not able to foster an animal but would be available to pick up animals at a veterinary hospital or clinic and transport them to foster homes or provide some other volunteer service to facilitate this or another ACWP, Inc. program, please speak up.

Kindly pass this on to other members of our community.

   For the animals,

Anna R. Ziegler, Vice-President
